Danny Groh is a Wisconsin born, Brooklyn, NY based actor/comedian. He can be seen in the award-winning short film Danimal which he helmed as writer, producer, and star. Danimal premiered in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles along with being an official selection Sugar Loaf Film Festival ‘24. After its YouTube premiere, Danimal was named one of the “Best Comedy Shorts Of October ‘24” by Vulture. The film has since gone on to win the award for “Best Comedy Short” at New York Indie ShortFest ‘25 and was selected as a Semi-Finalist for “Best Comedy Short” at the Chicago Filmmaker Awards ‘25.
Groh can be seen in season 3 of Joe Pera Talks With You were he plays Gym Teacher Tommy, and has appeared in the short film To The Moon, and feature film Party Time Party Time. He has also been featured on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Comedy Central, The Chris Gerhard Show, HBO Max, Adult Swim, IFC, The Onion News Network, and various national commercials.
Danny got his start in Chicago where he preformed and trained at The Second City, iO, and Annoyance Theatre. Before all of that he was the cellphone king of Wisconsin.
